Michelle King
Michelle is two-time graduate of the University of Georgia.
Michelle graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Political Science. She remained at the University of Georgia for law school where she graduated again with honors. At UGA Law, Michelle was a member of the University of Georgia Moot Court Board form 2010-2012, serving as the Moot Court Chair from 2011-2012. Michelle competed in Moot Court Competitions around the United States prior to becoming the Moot Court Chair. Michelle was a pupil in the Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court and is a member of both the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Michelle is a graduate of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association 2015 LEAD Class. Michelle previously served as the Chair of the GTLA LEAD Program and prior to that, served for two years as the chair of GTLA’s New Lawyers division where she actively participates in community service initiatives throughout Atlanta. Currently, Michelle serves as the Women's Caucus Chair for GTLA's Executive Committee.
Michelle previously practiced at Woodward & Stern, LLC where she focused on the areas of criminal defense, domestic litigation, false arrest and personal injury. In 2015 Michelle joined Shamp, Speed, Jordan, Woodward, LLC where she focused on medical malpractice and personal injury. In 2017 Michelle opened Speed & King and continues to focus on medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. Michelle, a native of Miami, is fluent in both English and Spanish.
